RE: ANGEL 7.2 Upgrade News
Date: August 14, 2007

On May 10th, 2007, Michigan State University upgraded the ANGEL learning management system from version 6.3 to version 7.2. The ANGEL User Support Team, with the help of faculty and staff who used ANGEL during summer 2007, has developed the following tips to get you started in ANGEL 7.2:

Over the summer, multiple problems in version 7.2 were diagnosed and resolved and many enhancements were made to improve the performance of the ANGEL service. A list of resolved issues is available by visiting http://help.angel.msu.edu/upgrade/resolved_issues.php. You can review a current list of known outstanding issues at http://help.angel.msu.edu/upgrade/known_issues.php.

Scheduled maintenance to the ANGEL system changed during the summer and it now occurs every Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Detailed information regarding maintenance appears on the ANGEL login page at http://angel.msu.edu, as well as on the MSU Service Status page at http://servicestatus.msu.edu.

If you encounter any problems, especially if they are not shown on the list of known issues, please contact the Libraries, Computing, and Technology (LCT) Distance Learning Helpline at (517) 355-2345 or toll free at 1-800-500-1554. LCT’s Distance Learning help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
